Who We Are

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a small, family orientated church with a big heart for Christ.  Established in 1964, we are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.

Mission Statement:

Good Shepherd seeks to gain people for God, gather around Word and Sacrament, and grow in Christ!

      We attempt to

carry out our mission through Sunday Worship, Sunday School and Bible Class; through a variety of Bible Study Groups during the week; through seasonal worship services and ministries; support of world-wide missions and local missions; and outreach into the community such as monthly worship services for residents at nearby care facilities, a monthly blind ministry outreach and an annual Harvest Dinner for international students from MSU.  Our Quilters Group not only makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief, but also takes on other outreach projects such as personal care kits and sewing kits for local domestic violence shelters.  Our church participates in the annual CROP Walk for Hunger and provides Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to families in need as well as clothing at back to school time and Christmas gifts for children at a local domestic violence shelter.  We also have a Parish Nurse on staff.

We believe the church is people in mission, people for whom Jesus Christ suffered died and rose again.  The one constant reality of life is the steadfast love of God for all people in Jesus Christ.

      You are welcome here!
