March is almost gone.   Soon everything will be budding out.

One of the projects that Evangelism will be doing is a kid’s vegetable garden.  It is open to the children of the church and we will be using it as an outreach project as well.   Master Gardener Ellen Rodriquez is chairing this project.  She has some wonderful ideas for working with the kids.  If you would like more information or would like to help with the project, please contact Ellen.

During the past Christmas season, this church donated 3 car loads of gifts and food to victims of domestic violence through EVE, Ingham County’s domestic violence shelter.  Donations from this church gave a baby bed and mattress to an infant who had no place to sleep, gave snacks to a child whose mother could not afford these luxuries, provided window blinds for a survivor’s new apartment, and an interview outfit to enable a survivor to become financially independent. Working in conjunction with Christen Services, we also provided Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for 10 families.  Truly, the Lord was working though us by all of the donations this church made.

If you have an idea for an outreach project, just jot it down and place it in the Evangelism mail box.
